QRS DX3 Conversion
The KWI DX3 Conversion Kit is a full clutch overhaul for Can-Am Defender and Commander models equipped with the factory QRS primary — transforming a weak, wear-prone OEM system into a true X3-spec clutch platform. The factory Defender and Commander QRS clutch isn't the same unit found in the X3 lineup. It's a lesser version that wears out fast, delivers inconsistent RPM control, and isn't compatible with standard X3-style clutch kits. The DX3 Conversion fixes all of that.
By replacing the factory internals with genuine X3-spec components, the DX3 Conversion unlocks compatibility with the KWI AO RC Clutch Kit — giving your Defender or Commander better RPM control, stronger power delivery, improved throttle response, and dramatically improved long-term durability. This isn't a patch for a weak system. It's a complete transformation that brings your machine up to the standard it should have left the factory with.
Important: This product requires you to send your primary and secondary clutches to KWI for installation. This conversion must be performed in our shop to ensure proper fitment and performance.
