The KWI QRS HD Float is the ultimate fix for clutch alignment issues found in factory QRS-style CVT systems on Can-Am Defender and Commander models. These machines suffer from the same misalignment flaws that plague the X3, causing the belt to ride unevenly on the sheaves—leading to secondary clutch spin at idle, hard shifting, belt heat, and frequent failures.
Our QRS Float Mod solves this by machining the secondary clutch to allow it to “float” on the shaft. This lets the clutch self-align with the primary during operation, improving belt contact and power transfer. It also includes resurfacing of the primary and secondary sheaves for consistent engagement, and the installation of KWI Rollers for long-term reliability.
Whether you’re working, hunting, trail riding, or just cruising, this mod gives your Defender or Commander smoother shifting, cooler belt temps, and better throttle response.
